SEE OUR PROGRAMMES

Boxing Futures believes in the potential of every young person

Many vulnerable young people have poor educational and life-outcomes. Through non-contact boxing, sport, outdoor activities, and group workshops, we help young people develop their physical and mental wellbeing, positively impacting their educational attainment, in environments where they feel confident to achieve success.

Our AEP Vision

Through mentoring, support and engagement, we nurture consistency in their relationships, and compassionately encourage young people to challenge their behaviours and perspectives.

Our AEP programmes focus on social and emotional goals, practical interventions, and is suitable for students of all ages and abilities.

Each project lasts 12 weeks and involves 12 young people working together

WHY AEP?

1. Different Pathways

Alternative Education (AEP) offers at-risk students a smaller and more personalised environment to learn, form strong connections with school staff and peers, and presents a different pathway for them to achieve educational success.

2. Emotional & Physical Balance

AEP helps students develop a balanced emotional mindscape and improved physical wellbeing. Consequently, this positively supports future prospects for accessing further education, apprenticeships, employment, or training.

3. Our AEP Solution

Boxing Futures have developed AEP programmes to provide effective out-of-school support for at-risk students. Our programmes clearly demonstrate positive outcomes for the young people we work alongside.

OUR APPROACH

Recognise Coping Mechanisms

Young people can get caught in volatile behaviours, which act as a façade for low self-worth and as coping mechanisms during difficult times in their lives.

.

Successful Engagement

We are successful at engaging young people who lack positive connections and feel disaffected, and introduce them to the discipline, focus and teamwork of non-contact boxing.
