We’re committed to supporting young people in our communities who other programmes have failed to reach. Brothers Through Boxing brings young people who identify as men together to improve their physical and mental wellbeing through non-contact boxing. This builds their sense of self and belonging as well as their confidence and connectedness.
Brothers Through Boxing is made possible due to the generous support of The Movember Foundation.

A six month journey of transformation
12 young people work together to achieve their Boxercise Bronze award. As well as improving their general fitness, it helps increase social connections, improve wellbeing and avoid loneliness.
Many participants are not in employment, education, or training, which can lead to isolation. This peer-led programme helps them develop a support network they can turn to when times get tough.
After the programme, ‘brothers’ can join our alumni group; working towards their Silver and Bronze Boxercise awards, and mentoring new people joining the programme.
‘It’s the one thing I look forward to each week.’

This rounded-programme of activity and support delivers real change.
Each programme is directed by the group.
Programmes run with a rolling committee of participants teaches collaboration, ownership and responsibility.
Organised by the committee, events help participants have fun, get to know each other and fosters friendship.
Facilitated and peer-led conversations create a safe place for participants to talk about issues that matter to them.
Our bespoke ‘Road to Resurgence’ handbook helps participants track and measure their own progress.
Networks and experience created on the programme help participants to find new opportunities in employment, training and volunteering.
All participants get the chance to work towards a Boxercise award, learning how to progress towards a goal and gaining a sense of accomplishment.
Here are some of our young people getting the most out of the programme.
