Building confidence and connections

GET INVOLVED

Improving Lives Through Sport & Friendship

The primary objective of this programme is to help participants live happier, healthier lives. Sisters Through Boxing  brings young people who identify as women together to improve their physical and mental wellbeing through non-contact boxing. This builds their sense of confidence, trust and togetherness and boosts overall wellbeing.

Our partner: Microbyte

Sisters Through Boxing is made possible due to the generous support of Microbyte Solutions Limited.

WHAT’S INVOLVED?

A six month journey of transformation.

1. Teamwork

12 young people work together to achieve their Boxercise Bronze award. As well as improving their general fitness, it helps increase social connections, improve wellbeing and avoid loneliness.

2. Connection

Many participants are not in employment, education or training, which can lead to isolation. This peer-led programme helps them develop a support network they can turn to when times get tough.

3. Ongoing Community

After the programme, ‘sisters’ can join our alumni group; working towards their Silver and Bronze Boxercise awards and mentoring new people joining the programme.

‘It gave me confidence.’
